Rob Riggle (Born April 21, 1970 as Robert Allen Riggle, Jr.) is an American actor, Comedian, and retired Marine Corps Reserve officer known for his work on The Daily Show and Saturday Night Live. He portrays Kevin Jesquire in Wilfred (US Series).

Biography[]

Rob Riggle was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Sandra Sue and Robert Allen Riggle. He attended Shawnee Mission South High School and went to achieve a B.A. in Theater and Film at the University of Kansas and a Master of Public Administration degree from Webster University. Along with his studies in college, Riggle also obtained his pilot's license.

In the military, Riggle served as a Lieutenant Colonel and was a public affairs officer in New York city earning him the Combat Action Ribbon. In 1990, after receiving his pilot's licence, Riggle joined the Marines to become a Naval Aviator but left flight school to pursue a career in comedy. He retired in 2013 after 23 years of service.

Riggle's comedy career began with a partnership between him and Rob Huebel. The two performed in various shows and began gaining popularity fast which attracted the attention of Saturday Night Live who subsequently offered them an audition. They both auditioned in 2004 but only Riggle was accepted onto the team. He was featured for a year as characters that include Larry the Cable Guy, Rick Sanchez, and Toby Keith.

In 2006, Riggle replaced Rob Corddry in The Daily Show before leaving in 2008.

Riggle has also starred in films and TV shows such as The Hangover, The Other Guys, Step Brothers and is even a spokesperson for Budweiser in their commercials.
