Eric Stoltz is an American actor, director, and producer known for his role as Rocky Dennis is the Mask. He plays Doug on Wilfred (US Series).

Biography Edit

Eric Stoltz was born September 30, 1961 in Whittier California to Evelyn B, and Jack Stoltz. He has two sisters, one being a singer and one a writer. In his childhood years, Stoltz once earned money playing piano in local theatre productions. After graduating from high school he attended the University of Southern California but dropped out before he could graduate.

Stoltz career began in the 1970s when he performed ten plays at the Edinburgh Festival. He joined USC after returning to the United States but dropped out in order to pursue acing roles. In 1978 he was cast in The Grass Is Always Greener Over The Septic Tank.

When Stoltz was working on Fast Times at Ridgemont High, he befriended the director Cameron Crowe who subsequently promised him roles on his future films.

When Stoltz starred as Rocky Dennis in Mask, he gained a Golden Globe nomination which drew him attention.

In more recent years, Stoltz has played roles in The Butterfly Effect, Will & Grace, Glee, and Fort McCoy. Along with acting, he has also contributed essays to the books City Secrets - New York and Life Interrupted.
