Ed Helms (Born Edward Parker Helms) is an American actor and comedian know for his work in The Office and The Hangover trilogy. He portrays Darryl in Wilfred (US Series).

Biography Edit

Born January 24, 1974 in Atlanta, Georgia, Helms attending The Westminster Schools. At age 14, he suffered from a severe heart murmur and had to have open-heart surgery to correct it. After graduating, Helms attended Oberlin College and graduated in 1996 with a BA in film theory and technology.

Helm's career began when he became a writer and performer with New York City comedy bands after graduating from college.

Helm became a series regular in the American version of The Office in 2006 as Andy Bernard. He was an actor on The Daily Show before being cast in The Office but returned to the show in 2006. Along with these shows and several films, Helm has also appeared in several Comedy Central specials as well as providing commercial voice overs.

Helms is a talented musician. He can play guitar, banjo, piano, and sitar. He is part of a band called The Lonesome Trio with two of his friends, a band they formed while they attended college together.
